Sounds like a wonderful name Caitlin and I love it. The idea of a compass for like minded souls is very fitting. The truth is that your writings and words provide truths and directions for your readers.

Great name change! Gosh I hope to see substack overtake Insta with its user interaction. This is a much more thoughtful platform…muscles and training take time. I think the click through seemlessness between getting an email from you to the comment and like in the app functionality is really good, so I have high hopes you’ll achieve meaningful engagement here!

Beautiful new name! Interested to know why you want to step back from Instagram?

Thank you, Lynden! I was glad to finally settle on one that makes sense. As for stepping away from Instagram, when I was first on Instagram several years ago, I loved how it was a quiet space for people to connect over a love of books and nature (at least that was my own community/corner of IG). Now, it feels like a louder place with all the reels and constantly being bombarded with posts from people I don't follow. I do still enjoy the community I have built over on Instagram, but it's so time-consuming sifting through everything until I finally get to see a post or two from my friends. I'm hoping to build a strong community here on Substack to have that quiet, cozy space once more.

Ah, yes, I see what you mean now. Yes, reels don't do much for me, either, and I get a lot of ads in my feed.
