A wonderful list! Congratulations on submitting to agents. Good luck! I didn't know glimmers were the opposite of triggers, so thanks for that! I'd like to start a list for October. But until then, here is one for today: dark, slate blue clouds over a golden sky this evening. A hint of rain on the way. I'm so grateful for the beauty of this October evening. Thanks, Caitlin, for your inspiring posts, always.

I found a lot of glimmers today and love this concept! Very familiar with all of it, except the term, since I’m a therapist. Calling it a glimmer makes it much more whimsical and fun!

On my walk recently I happened to look in to the trees after hearing a rustling sound and, to my surprise, a gorgeously fluffy white cat was looking back at me. It had gray patches on its ears and sides and didn't run when it saw me, but neither would it extricate itself from the shelter of tangled brush and trees to come inspect my outstretched fingers. We did exchange a few slow blinks (a sign of connection between a cat and human) and after a few minutes of conversation (mine, mostly) I said my goodbye and moved on. The right place at the right time is my favorite type of glimmer.

I love the concept of glimmers! One of mine involved going for a walk in the field behind our neighborhood for the first time in months.
