This is full of terrific suggestions, and gave me so many beautiful images to ponder. I'm one who loves and embraces November, reveling in the dark, the downward plunge of the temperature, that extra blanket on the bed, the hearty foods, how the stars seem sharper in the sky on a cold night. I'll have to try out some of your suggestions.
Thank you so much for your kind comment, Kate. I love November too, so it’s nice to see I’m not alone in that. I hope you share with me if you do try out some of these ideas.
Love this! November is December’s quiet cousin and I think it deserves more appreciation!
I went out and bought two bunches of yellow and pink mini roses with baby’s breath. There’s just something about fresh flowers in the house that makes everything feel better. 💐
How beautifully you expressed it! December’s quiet cousin. Oh, please write a poem about that! And I love it that you bought flowers. I’ve been buying bouquets as often as I can. The most recent one was pink carnations outlined in white like icing sugar on roses. So pretty! It really does make everything better.
For those who feel brittle, it was a fair election. There has always been a silent majority of people with different priorities than yours. Weren't you the bullied one, the out of place one in school?
Life is no different. As we artists live in our feelings, the rest of the class got married, had children and mortgages.
Of course they fell for DT'S spiel. It is always the economy. And no, they are not better 4 years later with their kids and mortgages and big ass trucks that get 10 miles a gallon. The privileged can afford to worry about the soul of the country and the first woman president . Too bad there is not enough of them 😕

Thank you!! I shall write a poem about that! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that before. 😹
Carnations are lovely! I was tempted by a bouquet of hydrangeas but some petals were wilted already. :(
