As always, a fun and inspiring newsletter Cinders. Never imagined that I'd enjoy and be a "retired gardener " but here I am. In the past my wife and I have put in vegetable gardens but I didn't personally tend it, just the rototiller part. This summer I've done both spending the cooler mornings and early evenings in the garden. Having fun actually and I've really enjoyed harvesting the home grown vegetables for dinners.

Thank you, Wayne! And it's so lovely to hear that you have found a new hobby. Gardening brings me a great deal of joy too. I can just see you and Deb working together in your garden. Have you discovered any new favorite meals thanks to homegrown veg?

Not really any recipes or meals although I've used for the first time brussel sprout leaves and radishes right from garden to make a salad. Just a couple days ago we picked redbeets and turnips for dinner. Fresh like that, they were delicious. Still waiting for the potatoes, onions, corn and melons though. Lol!!! The zucchini is growing like weeds and I'm actually tired of eating so much of it. Maybe I could overnight some to you?? Even our local family don't want anymore.

I love the idea of a midsummer tea sandwich! I will definitely be trying that out. ☺️ Some other lovely ideas here too.
