On Samhain, we had the first snow of the season. Samhain is a portal. The time when the veil between the worlds is lifted so that our ancestors can walk among us. This year, it was a portal in another way too — the veil lifted to offer us a glimpse of winter.
I’m ready for winter. Ready to cocoon and draw inward. But before I say a final farewell to autumn, I wanted to share a photo diary of the magic of autumn in upstate New York with you.
