Unearthing Your Story

Unearthing Your Story is the course that I developed based on workshops I taught for the practicum requirement as a graduate student at Prescott College. Women’s spirituality and the mythopoetic were my main focus for my MA. What started as an exploration of women’s spirituality, and of archetypes and symbols in fairy tales and folklore, grew into a course for unearthing your personal story (or mythology) and discovering your life path and purpose through delving into the stories you’ve connected with throughout life.

I’ve been turning over ideas in an attempt to determine the best way to offer this course. When I first offered it starting in 2016/2017, it was a six-week/six module email course. I’ve decided to offer it that way again.

In each email, I linked to other resources, including video content I posted to YouTube. Since course numbers were limited to less than twelve people, I had the time and energy to personally respond to each email, engaging with each student and offering suggestions and resources to each individual student.

I plan on keeping the numbers small this time around too, so I can offer you the same. Think of it as having your very own personal mythology life coach to guide you as you work your way through the course material.

This course will begin in January and will run for six weeks, though I expect each student will take longer to go through the material. It is a go at your own pace course. I also have an Unearthing Your Story Tarot reading which combines aspects of my course with a personalized tarot reading for you.

A few more details…

Unearthing Your Story is based on the idea that stories guide us. Through analyzing the archetypes, symbols, and themes from the stories that have captured our hearts during different life stages, we can unravel the mystery of our life purpose and discover our why.

Over the course of six weeks, course participants will receive six emails, one for each of the six modules. Each module contains journal prompts, videos, resources, guided meditations, and more.
