Hi friends,
I have a short letter for you today, encouraging you to make a daily list of five things you love, are grateful for, and/or find beautiful.
The more we notice beautiful things around us and express gratitude for the life we are blessed to live, the more good things appear. It can take time to naturally live a life of enchanted simplicity, of romanticizing everything, but we can start with simple daily tasks like writing a gratitude list.
I was blessed to grow up among an artist mom and a romantic-hearted dad who noticed beauty and enjoyed life to the fullest. This just became a way of life for me.
Somewhere along the way, after experiencing narcissistic abuse, my natural ability to see the good in the world began to diminish. I had to consciously and with great effort climb out of the dark hole I found myself in, to remember that I carry the light within me always.
It wasn’t always easy, but I have found my way back to a place of effortlessly experiencing a magical and wondrous life.
My tip for you today, to get started on the path to living a life of enchanted simplicity, is to keep a notebook in which you record at least five things every single day that you notice are lovely, or bring you joy in some way.
